Love in Blue

Have you ever been entranced by a color? While perusing Ruff House Print Shop’s notebooks I was drawn to their “bluebird” mat board covers.  They are a rich, electric blue; like the sky just after sunset, when it glows with all the leftover energy of the day.

And what better to pair with that color than the humble yet plucky forget-me-not! I’ve loved forget-me-nots ever since my mother-in-law gifted me with several plants after the birth of my son.  They were scrappy little things that returned to our oak-forest yard despite my neglect.

The artwork for this appreciation pack was done with with watercolor pencils, with line work added afterward with a brush pen.   I was imitating the lovely sunflower art Jen painted that was featured on our first Appreciation Pack.

I hope this little gift box will make it a bit easier for you to reconnect with a friend, say a difficult farewell, or contact a person you haven’t worked with for a while. I hope it will be a gentle and lovely way of letting someone know they haven’t been forgotten.

Cheers,

Julia
